Is 2010 the 'Year of Ubuntu?'
Not on my main PC it isn't.
I have Ubuntu running on the Revo and a couple of laptops used by the wife and kids who mainly browse the internet and share media. That's all ok.
Now that I have NFS sharing on my NAS I considered changing my main PC away from Vista and onto Ubuntu 10.04.

My How to Part 2: Ubuntu NAS using an old PC
Jeez - what a journey that has been!
NAS now all up and working anyway - let me recount the journey...
Following on from my earlier post, I was left with these steps out of my original plan - oh how naive I was!!
- If all ok, remove my 500gb drive from my main Vista PC (after backing it up) and configure a RAID 1 setup in the NAS PC
- Copy over my media from the backup
- Reconfigure my share connections on my Revo XBMC and Xbox XBMC
